Can Fake News Skew our Perception on Renewable Energy?

With such a controversial topic as renewable energy, many stories surf the web that are very FALSE and should not be believed.

- For example, on one end of the spectrum there is a news article claiming that coal reduces greenhouse gas emissions when in fact it does the opposite. If people actually believe that coal reduces toxic emissions, they might inadvertently support the move against renewable energy.

- On the other end, there are articles claiming that cities like Las Vegas have converted to 100% renewable energy already when in fact, they have not. When readers hear about cities having 100% renewable energy already, they assume that the transition to clean energy has already been done, leaving no one to push for the immense amount of change that still has to be done.

- These biased opinions have an effect on how people view clean energy. We encourage you all to confirm the reliability of the sources that you read! Don't let fake news be the reason you overlook the movement to GoGreen!
